10.5. Brake disk

GENERAL INFORMATION

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift respectively a forward or back part of the car and record on supports. Remove the corresponding wheel.
2. Remove a support and, using a soft wire, tie it to a rack, without disconnecting from it a brake hose.
3. Establish under nuts of fastening of a wheel of a washer 10 mm thick and screw nuts of fastening of a wheel.
4. The indicator of hour type check a beating of a brake disk. Fix the indicator of hour type in any convenient place and, turning a disk, define its beating at distance of 10 mm from the outer edge.
5. Clear a working surface of a brake disk a small emery paper.
6. Slowly turn a brake disk so that it could be considered from two parties. Measure thickness of a brake disk. Wear of a brake disk from blocks has to be in admissible limits. If wear exceeds an admissible limit or there are cracks on a disk, the disk is subject to replacement (the minimum thickness of a brake disk is beaten out on an internal surface of a brake disk – on the right).

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Unscrew nuts of fastening of a wheel with thick washers which were established when checking a beating of a disk.
2. Unscrew two bolts and remove the holder of a support (see rice. Arrangement of bolts of fastening of the holder of a support of a forward wheel, Arrangement of bolts of fastening of the holder of a support of a back wheel).
3. Remove a brake disk.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Clear a brake disk and establish it into place.
2. Establish the holder of a support and fix by bolts.
3. Establish brake shoes and a support.
4. Establish a wheel and lower the car. Several times press a brake pedal that brake shoes nestled on a brake disk.
