GENERAL INFORMATION

Window regulators work with the electric drive only at inclusion of ignition.

Each window regulator has the separate reversive engine. Position of the switch of a window regulator defines polarity of tension given to the engine and sets the direction of rotation of the electric motor. Chain breakers are installed on parts of cars in a power-supply circuit of each engine of a window regulator.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. For check of operation of switches of window regulators remove the switch and, using an ohmmeter, check short circuit of contacts of the switch at various provisions of the switch (see rice. 2. If switches of window regulators are serviceable, and the window regulator does not work, check giving of tension to the window regulator engine.
3. If tension arrives to the window regulator engine, and the window regulator does not work, disconnect door glass from a window regulator and, moving glass manually, check ease and smoothness of its movement.
4. If glass moves easily, replace the window regulator engine.
