GENERAL INFORMATION

Replacement of wheels

When replacing wheels it is inexpedient to change the direction of rotation of the tire as their repeated extra earnings causes the increased wear. At noticeable wear of their forward tires it is recommended to trade places with back tires. When replacing tires, always install less worn-out tires ahead.

When changing wheels do not damage a varnish covering of disks from light alloys.

Tighten bolts of fastening of wheels cross for several passes.

Running in of tires

New tires have a smooth external surface and therefore it is necessary to make a running in of tires. Initial wear at a running in does the tire of rougher.

On the first 200 km of a run of the car it is necessary to move, especially on a wet covering, very carefully.

Storage of tires

Tires have to be stored in the cool, dark, dry and aired room.

Before removal of wheels increase pressure in tires by 0,3–0,5 bars.

Balancing of wheels

Balancing of a wheel is carried out for compensation of neravnomernost of distribution of weight. At the movement the imbalance is shown in the form of vibration which is transferred to a steering wheel. Vibration of a steering wheel from an imbalance of wheels is shown in the certain range of speeds and vanishes at decrease or increase in speed. The imbalance of wheels can be led to damages of hinges, steering and shock-absorbers. Surely it is necessary to balance wheels through 20000 km of a run of the car or after any repair of tires.

Check of pressure in tires


To check pressure only in cold tires.

Review frequency – once a month or at service of the car.

It is desirable to check pressure before long trips as at the same time there is the maximum temperature load on tires. At the movement on long distances at a high speed with the lowered pressure in tires more energy is spent for deformation of the tire therefore it overheats and there can be an office of a layer of a profile or even a rupture of the tire. Also, with the lowered pressure fuel consumption increases.

Check of a profile of tires

Intensive wear of tires is promoted by a sports manner of driving, intensive accelerations and sharp braking.


Prevention

Tires can be operated to achievement of depth of a profile of 1.6 mm, that is flutes of a profile have to have depth on all surface of the tire not less than 1.6 mm. However for safety it is recommended to make change of tires with a depth of profile of 3 mm.

Sheena M+S on snow have sufficient coupling with the road with a depth of profile not less than 4 mm.

It is necessary to survey the tire on existence of cuts and to establish their depth. If cuts reach a cord, the steel cord will korrodirovat from the getting moisture.
